You might be wondering how can I offer a free “question-answering service”. The answer is that a lot of people have messaged me for years with questions and so I implemented this to formalise that anyone could do it. You have likely found me via one of my books and so this is simply the traditional way that writers keep in contact with their readers (using emails instead of hand-written letters).

Please note that replies will not be instant because I am known to insulate myself from the internet for days at a time while I write.

Small print: You are welcome to ask more than one question if you wish. If I have time, then I can give more help. However, if demand is high, then I will limit (for example) everyone to one answer. Also, please note that if you are inappropriate, for example by being overly argumentative or covering explicit themes (which I prefer to avoid), then I will stop answering you and block your email address. I welcome robust debate and conversation, but ask that we try to remain polite with each other; the occasional slip is going to happen, but I ask that it be an exception.
